About Track and Trail

Our Mission

At Track and Trail, our mission is to provide high-quality coaching to our riders at affordable prices. We believe that everyone should have access to learning how to ride a bicycle and to pursue their passion for ridding.

Our History

Track and Trail has been dedicated to serving the riding needs of our community for almost a decade. Founded in 2016 by the Dukes and then bought by the Stones at the start of 2019. Just after, Covid started to spread in 2020 and we had to reshape the business to accommodate what became the worlds new life style. With private lessons being allowed, we were able to keep some of the bonds strong with our riders making the transition back into a few of our school easy.

Our Team

Our team at Track and Trail is made up of passionate riders and sports enthusiasts who understand the importance of having the right coaching. We're dedicated to helping our riders to gain the confidence to advance off training wheels or go over ramps.

Welcome to Track and Trail Sports

Damian Stone

Head Coach & Co-Owner

With a bike under him since he could walk, Damian has always chased the feeling of freedom that two wheels can bring. As a child, he’d lap the block again and again—only to sprint past his driveway, arms in the air, pretending he’d just won the Tour de France.

Today, he’s the brains and heart behind Track and Trail, turning that childhood passion into a place where kids discover their own joy, confidence, and sense of adventure through cycling.

With over a decade of coaching experience (and a Bachelor of Education in progress), Damian blends educational insight with pure passion. He’s been coaching little ones since 2014, and cycling specifically since 2018. His mantra? "Falling is how we learn—but it’s getting back up that counts. Just keep pedaling."

For Damian, nothing compares to the moment a child realizes they can do it on their own—their doubt replaced by beaming confidence. He treasures the fist bumps, the hugs, and the trust built in every lesson.

A new dad himself, Damian brings extra heart to every session, knowing firsthand how powerful early experiences can be. When he’s not coaching, you’ll find him on the golf course, the hockey field, bodyboarding, or out on the trails.

For Damian, coaching isn’t just a job—it’s a calling, a way to leave a lasting imprint on a child’s heart and help shape the stories they’ll tell about their childhood.

Chris [Surname]

Coach & Co-Owner

Chris has been on two wheels for as long as he can remember—but for him, riding has always been about one thing: pure fun. Since 2019, he’s brought that same energy to coaching, helping kids grow their confidence one pedal at a time. With nearly a decade of experience working with children, Chris brings patience, humour, and a sense of adventure to every session.

After starting his coaching journey in schools, he jumped at the chance to try something different—helping little ones learn to ride a bike for the first time. For Chris, nothing beats that moment: when a nervous child suddenly takes off, riding solo with a giant smile on their face.

As a kid, Chris flew through the Giba Gorge trails full speed ahead. These days, he still hits the trails when he can, attempting jumps (sometimes more bravely than skilfully!). He’s a mountain biking fan through and through, and when he’s not riding, you’ll find him tossing a frisbee, racking up pool games, or enjoying anything outdoors.

Chris isn’t just teaching kids how to ride—he’s helping them discover just how capable they are.
